Join us for an overnight adventure in nature! We’ll be camping at Amicalola Falls State Park (418 Amicalola Falls State Park Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534) — home to Georgia’s tallest waterfall and beautiful hiking trails. We’ll be renting gear from ORGT to make camping accessible for everyone — no experience needed!
📍 Meeting Location & Transportation
- We will meet on campus at 1:00 PM and carpool to Amicalola Falls (about 1.5 hours away).
- If you RSVP, you’ll be added to a carpooling sheet to help coordinate rides. You’re also welcome to arrange your own transportation and meet us directly at the trailhead.
- We expect to arrive at the park around 2:30 PM.
🗓️ Tentative Schedule
- 1:00 PM – Meet at campus & leave
- 2:30 PM – Arrive at Amicalola Falls
- 3:00–6:00 PM – Group hike at the falls
- 6:30 PM – Dinner (bring your own food/snacks; hot water for simple meals will be available)
- Evening – Campfire, games, and community time
- Morning – Pack up after breakfast, optional short hike, head back to campus (depends on driver/plans)
🍴 What to Bring
- Snacks and/or easy meals you can prepare with hot water (e.g., instant noodles, oatmeal, dehydrated meals)
- Plenty of water and electrolytes
- Warm layers (it can get chilly at night!)

- All participants will sign a waiver before attending.
- We’ll stay together as a group for hikes and evening activities.
- Cell service can be limited — plan ahead.
- Bring only what you need and keep track of your belongings.
