Starry Night 星空之夜 is an annual cultural event hosted by the Chinese Student Association (CSA) at Georgia Tech, inspired by the vibrant night markets of China. First introduced last year, the event quickly became a campus favorite, drawing over 1,000 students and more than 10 cultural organizations. Its primary goal is to promote cultural awareness by creating an immersive environment where students can experience Chinese and East Asian culture through food, live performances, and interactive activities.
In China and across East Asia, night markets are central to community life, offering a space for people to gather, socialize, and enjoy local cuisine after a busy day. These markets are much more than commercial spaces—they are cultural landmarks where traditions are preserved and celebrated. Starry Night seeks to recreate this vibrant and inclusive atmosphere on campus, fostering cross-cultural understanding and unity.
This year’s event will feature a rich variety of experiences, including traditional games, calligraphy workshops, and student-run vendor stalls. By blending modern and traditional elements of East Asian culture, Starry Night offers the Georgia Tech community a unique and engaging opportunity to come together and celebrate.
